Next time you’re in Victoria, you can explore the city with a little extra sunshine and fresh ocean air—thanks to a new partnership between Delta Hotels by Marriott Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and HeyYa Carts.
The resort is now the first hotel in Victoria to offer on-site pickup of HeyYa’s electric-powered, street-legal carts. Designed as Neighborhood Zero-Emissions Vehicles (NZEVs), these carts are more than just a fun ride—they’re safe, sustainable, and fully authorized for use on public roads in British Columbia.

“These street-legal electric carts are all about slowing down, soaking it in, and exploring Victoria in a whole new way—with a smile on your face and the wind in your hair,” says Tasha Maynard, Founder & CEO of HeyYa Rentals.
Perfect for short trips or leisurely sightseeing, the carts reach speeds of up to 40 km/h—ideal for cruising along the waterfront or heading into downtown Victoria. Guests can pick up their cart right at the resort, making it a seamless and eco-friendly way to get around.
“We’re thrilled to offer our guests a new way to experience Victoria that’s both sustainable and fun,” says Kimberley Hughes, General Manager of Delta Victoria. “We’re proud to be the first hotel in the city to offer this unique experience right from our doorstep.”
